[-=] About [=-] This is a speedy once-over on the best way to encode documents, holders, and drives under Linux. The utilization of loopback scrambled filesystems and openssl is clarified also, models are given. This paper ought to make them scramble in a matter of seconds. The following orders were finished running bit 2.6.9. .: ENCRYPTING :. I'll plot how to make scrambled holders and drives utilizing the loopback filesystem backing and record encryption by means of openssl. [-=] Containers [=-] This is basically making a filesystem inside a document and mounting it as a gadget. Compartments unfathomably decline the dull errand of exclusively scrambling documents since you basically move your records into the mount point and afterward unmount also, they pleasantly scrambled. In the first place, you have to make a clear document utilizing the dd order. dd if=/dev/urandom of=crypto.img bs=1M count=50 - The primary parameter utilizes the/dev/urandom gadget to make the record with irregular information to make it progressively hard to recognize free space furthermore, encoded information. The/dev/zero gadget can be utilized yet isn't exhorted. - The second parameter of=crypto.img characterizes the name to be given to the document and this can be changed to suit your inclination. - The third parameter bs=1M teaches the dd order to make the record in 1MB squares. I suggest you leave this incentive as 1M - The last parameter characterizes the size of the record comparable to the bs parameter. Since bs=1M and count=50 the record will be 50MB thus evolving the tally an incentive to 100 would yield a 100MB record, etc. It is worth referencing that the document can be resized once made this will be clarified in the addendum. Second, the document must be related to a circle gadget and scrambled. losetup - e aes256/dev/loop0 crypto.img - The parameter - e aes256 toward the start trains losetup on which figure to utilize. The figure type is reliant on what your piece underpins. In this model the AES 256 piece figure is utilized however you can utilize other figure types, for example, blowfish conversely. - The second parameter/dev/loop0 is the gadget to which we tie the record as well. Restricting the document will permit us to design the record with filesystem. - The last dad... ...utputs at password.txt.enc. (This is a somewhat repetitive clarification be that as it may, in any case) Presently to unscramble a record. openssl enc - d - aes-256-cbc - in password.txt.enc - out password.txt - The enc - d - aes-256-cbc part of the order determines which figure to utilize for decoding. - The - in password.txt parameter indicates which record to decode. - The last parameter trains openssl to yield the decoding into a record. This parameter can precluded and the record will be decoded to stdout. .: APPENDIX :. [-=] Resizing holders [=-] On the off chance that you arranged your compartment with the ext2 filesystem you can resize it with the ext2resize application. To begin with, increment the size of the compartment. In this model the document going about as the encoded compartment is called crypto.img and its size is increased by 20MB. dd if=/dev/urandom bs=1M count=20 >> crypto.img - The of= parameter is overlooked and rather >> is utilized toward the finish of the order to affix 20MB to the crypto.img document. Second, tie the document to a circle gadget. losetup - e aes256/dev/loop0 crypto.img Third, expand the ext2 filesystem inside the compartment. ext2resize/dev/loop0 That is all that is expected to resize your scrambled compartment.

Essay On Similes In Slaughterhouse Five - 1819 Words

Likewise, Vonnegut uses similes to describe the destructiveness of the bombing of Dresden and the trauma it brings with it, by showing the aftermath of the bombing. â€Å"Dresden was like the moon now, nothing but minerals. The stones were hot. Everybody else in the neighborhood was dead† (Vonnegut 178). This simile is comparing Dresden to the moon, barren and empty. The moon contains no human life and is â€Å"nothing but minerals† as Vonnegut describes, meaning that it is uninhabitable, just like Dresden is now, which shows how destructive the bombing of Dresden is. By using this simile Vonnegut is showing that the destructiveness of war can make a place as barren and empty as the moon. Billy is traumatized by seeing this once flourishing place†¦show more content†¦Ã¢â‚¬Å"Bodies bleed in his novel, at times uncontrollably, and Frederics narrative likewise suffers at times from troubling and uncontrollable outflow† (Dodman 98). These soldiers are bleedin g uncontrollably, which shows the physical destructiveness of war, but these doctors are more greatly emotionally traumatized by witnessing these soldiers bleeding out and dying and knowing that there is not much they can do to save them. Just as the bullets and bombs have caused the soldier’s â€Å"uncontrollable outflow† of blood, Hemingway’s novel suffers from â€Å"uncontrollable outflow† because of the traumatizing events he witnesses. Hemingway uses similes in order to depict the reality of war by showing how the immense amount of blood that there is in war affects soldiers emotionally. â€Å"The drops fell very slowly, as they fall from an icicle after the sun has gone† (Hemingway 60). This is a simile because it is comparing the drops of blood falling slowly to water drops falling slowly from an icicle. The man, that is above Frederic in the ambulance, is bleeding out and his blood is continuously falling onto Frederic, showing the reality of the massive amounts of blood there is in war. This depicts the reality of war because people bleed out and die all the time during the course of a war. Frederic has the man’s blood falling slowly

It has been noted with the changing times and the openness of society, there has been a higher acceptance of the men staying at home and taking care of the home chores while the wives go out and earn the money for the sustenance of the families. As very well explained by Lauren Young, â€Å"The definition of fatherhood has expanded to encompass a capacity for caregiving, just as motherhood has expanded to include breadwinning† (Young). It is also crucial to identify that the changes in roles in a number of cases is voluntary while in some cases is pushed upon. However as per the data from 2007, it has been noted that almost 33.5% of the women tend to earn much more than their husbands and there has been a higher number of men who are slowly losing out on their jobs due to the recession and the worsened economic conditions across the world. There have been varied views on the changing roles. As has been explained by Allison Linn, â€Å"While many female breadwinners say they enjoy their jobs and are proud of being able to support the

Student Achievements - Global Revisions Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 2000 words

Student Achievements - Global Revisions - Essay Example The research concludes that all these factors play a major role in determining a student’s achievement in school. All educational institutions have the aim of promoting student achievement. There are different factors that positively or negatively affect the achievement of students. These include social, economic, environmental and political factors. In students’ achievement, different individuals have to pull forces to ensure that the process is successful. These individuals include teachers, parents and students. This paper analyses the positive effects of different factors that affect students’ achievement. A student’s achievement is influenced by several factors such as class size, family, motivation, teacher’s attitudes, a school’s culture and gender and therefore teachers should put these factors into perspective when teaching. Gross (2009) argues that student engagement in learning is an important factor in their success (Gross, 2009). Students can engage in the learning process through submission of assignments and agreeing to teachers instructions. Another form of students’ engagement in the learning process is class attendance. A teacher acts as a guide towards students’ engagement in class. The teacher should, therefore, design a strategy through which students can continuously participate in the learning process. One way through which a teacher can ensure student’s participation is by identifying individual differences among his learners. Use of questions and answers has been identified as one of the best method of engaging students in the process of learning (Capel & Whitehead, 2010). This method targets improving the learning capability of students and, teachers are encouraged to focus more on open ended questions. Such questions encourage thinking and hence enable students to achieve better results even if the students do not answer the questions (Kim, 2010). Teachers who ensure effective

The London Millennium Footbridge Opening Free Essay Example, 2500 words

In general, the London Millennium footbridge was finally opened by her majesty the Queen, with huge publicity in June 2000. 80,000 people crossed the bridge on the first day according to the BBC In-depth report. Others, such as Arup themselves, think there could have been as many as 100,000 individuals. This bridge was innovative in its design and any new engineering project always carries something of a risk. The people involved did however do all they felt possible in order that their project would be a success. It was a highly publicized project, especially because it was right in the heart of London and had the Queen herself to open it. It could have all fallen very flat. It proved to at the very least an embarrassment to the Queen, the government, and the companies involved. Risks were minimized by in the first instance closing the bridge on the 12th of June and then looking at various possible options, and finally making necessary adjustments. Gender Discrimination In The Workplace Essay - 1239 Words

Introduction: The United States of America is a synthesis of different religions, cultures, and ethnicities. Although the American culture has improved significantly in terms of opportunities for equal employment, arguably there are still unjustified conflicts that create hostile working environments. Within the workplace, women have overcome countless obstacles, in fact, a common barrier that female employees face is gender discrimination. As an example, gender discrimination is the mistreatment of an employee because of their gender. According to the report s release by the Institute for Women’s Policy Research (IWPR, 2017), on average, women that are employed full-time earn approximately 80 cents for every dollar earned by men.†¦show more content†¦Alternately, an employee can file a violation claim based on their constitutional rights and seek a declaration. Legal Governance: Title VII of the Civil Right Act of 1946 is an important regulation that has raised awareness on anti-discrimination laws in today’s workforce. President Lyndon B. Johnson signed the landmark legislation and noted that: â€Å"Our generation of Americans has been called on to continue the unending search for justice within our own borders. We believe that all men are created equal. Yet many are denied equal treatment. We believe that all men have certain unalienable rights. Yet many Americans do not enjoy those rights. We believe that all men are entitled to the blessings of liberty. Yet millions are being deprived of that blessings-not because of their own failures, but because of the color of their skin. †¦ But it cannot continue. Our Constitution, the foundation of our Republic, forbids it. The principles of our freedom forbid it. Morality forbids it. And the law I will sign tonight forbids it† (NYT, 1964). Introduction to Psychology for Consciousness-myassignmenthelp.com

Question: Discuss about theIntroduction to Psychology for Behavior and Consciousness. Answer: Psychology involves studying the human mind and also its roles, particularly, those functions which impact behavior in a certain way. Psychology seeks to define mental and behavioral processes of people. It also involves applying knowledge to different human activity spheres which include the challenges faced by persons in their normal lives (Kalat, 2013). Psychological theories and practices incorporate the understanding of the functions of the brain and other aspects such as cognitive neuroscience and neuropsychology. Generally, this subject attempts to explore social relationships, behavior, and consciousness. It is described in the context of human behavior and experiences through empirical psychology. Additionally, there are seven modern perspectives of psychology which will be explored in this paper such as cognitive, behaviorism, social, evolutionary, comparative, clinical, and developmental. To start with the cognitive perspective, it emphasized on psychology as a scientific method of investigation and rejected introspection as a technique. Particularly, it emphasized on the science based on individual thinking, learning, and ability to remember (Plotnik Kouyoumdjian, 2013). Second, behaviorism emphasized on the observable action stimulus and response such as glandular secretions and muscular movements. It proposed that behavior can be studied using science without remedy of the internal mental consciousness. Third, social perspective emphasized the individual thoughts, behaviors, and emotions which can be impacted by imaginations and implied the presence of other people. Fourth, evolutionary perspective emphasized on the theoretical concept of technology by explaining various psychological and mental characteristics such as language, perception, and memory as developed adaptations. For instance, the characteristics may be seen as sexual selection or rather functional n atural creations. Fifth, comparative perspective proposed that studying human behavior contributes to a broad and deep understanding of the human psychology. Researchers such as George Romanes and Charles Darwin participated in the research of this perspective of psychology. Sixth, clinical psychology emphasized on the treatment and evaluation of psychiatric mayhem, abnormal behavior, and mental diseases where it viewed hospitals as collaborative settings where professionals such as psychiatrists and physician work as a team (Nolen-Hoeksema, Fredrickson, Loftus Lutz, 2014). Finally, the developmental perspective proposed on a persons growth and changes through their lifespan. It also seeks to synthesize and examines reasons why and how individuals experience changes in life. This paper outlines four pieces of evidence showing that psychological explanation of behavior is scientific and that it does not rely on common-sense. First, through research method, it is evident that psychology studies mental and behavioral processes. Through observation of the behavioral and mental processes, it is evident that they have developed and changed as explained through theories such as the Charles Darwin theory of evolution (Stangor Walinga, 2014). Through experiments, experts from the radio and television provide opinions on the behavioral and mental processes. Finally, through nature psychology is a science considering its outline of knowledge. To summarize, psychology is a broad topic which conveys various modern perspectives which focuses on psychological concerns based on human behavior and thoughts. Also, through evidence of research methods, observation, nature, and experiments psychology is seen as a science rather than common-sense. As human behavior is changing with time, the psychological perspectives are also evolving and growing. Psychology involves studying both behaviors and mental functions. Professionally, most people view psychology as philosophy, science, and also an art. However, the significant goal of psychology is to explore, explain, control, and predict behavior and mental functions. Also, psychology is a career subject which individuals may choose to major. Therefore, it is important for people to understand various specializations in psychology. These areas of psychology include cognitive, social, organizational, neuroscience, clinical, educational, development and among others (Lindsay Norman, 2013). Based on the various areas of psychology, individuals should devote time to the best discipline to take as the major. For those who love to help people in solving problems, interviewing, analyzing, listening, and collecting data should consider psychology as a career. In exploring various careers in psychology, clinicians focus on administering psychological tests and scores where they must work under the supervision of a licensed psychologist. Professionals in developmental psychology explore the individual changes and they specialize in handling children, adolescents, or infants (Seligman Csikszentmihalyi, 2014). The educational area of psychology is based on the teaching of psychology in schools. It addresses the educational and students issues where professionals focus on improving the students outcomes. Additionally, psychologists in the forensic field of psychology deal with concerns connected to psychology and law. Forensic psychologists embrace the psychological skills to legal concerns. Organizational field of psychology involves adopting principles in psychology at the workplace (McDougall, 2015). Finally, the health field of psychology requires individuals to specialize in psychological, biological, and social aspects which impacts ill nesses and health. The career option which relates to me best is the organizational psychology due to various reasons. This area of psychology requires people to adopt social, biological, and psychological principles to conduct research at the workplace to address productivity and behavior concerns (Larsen, Buss, Wismeijer, Song van, 2017). The first reason why this option is relatable is as it focuses on improving efficiency and productivity of employees as well as facilitating their well-being. Second, organizational psychology aims to address problems in the real world. Additionally, as a psychologist, I wish to study topics which are concerned with attitudes of employees, behaviors, leadership, and organizational processes. Therefore, psychologists in this area concerning organizational psychology focus on areas such as the human factors, human-computer association, and ergo metrics. To summarize, various psychology fields emerge with time. Therefore, individuals are obliged to choose careers based on their interests in the universities and colleges. Each psychological option has a specific area of study which focuses on various topics. Moreover, psychologist just needs to specialize in a single area as a career (Zentall Galef, 2013). In case an individual selects a specific area, they will require additional graduate learning in the same field. The option that relates to me best is the organizational psychology as outlined in this paper. Human factors are incorporated in this area and topics such as ergo metrics, product design, and human errors are studied. Individuals working in human factors aim to improve individual interactions with the machines and products within and outside the workplace. In addition, human factors assist in designing products to reduce injury rates as accuracy and safety are greatly enhances in the workplace. Some thinkers have sought to study how behaviors are learned. Two behavioral scientists, B.F. Skinner and Ivan Pavlov, engineered concepts of operant and classical conditioning, respectively. The prime aim of developing these theories is to help individuals comprehend how they learn. Operant conditioning is a theory of learning which is referred to as a process which aims to adjust behavior using either positive or negative reinforcement. Classical conditioning is a theory of learning which involves associative learning (Lachman, Lachman Butterfield, 2015). Associative learning explores the events in the surrounding and it explores all dimensions of human psychology. Generally, operant conditioning involves reinforcement through rewards and punishment while the classical conditioning involves association of the stimulus and responses. Classical and operant conditioning are vital theories in learning since they are central to the behaviors in psychology. However, how behavior is acquired in classical conditioning is different as in operant conditioning. For instance, using examples of the voluntary and involuntary responses, the main difference is that classical conditioning associates the involuntary stimulus and responses while the operant is all about incorporating voluntary responses (Landy Conte, 2016). Second, classical conditioning was first outlined by Ivan Pavlov who used a dog as an example in his experiment to prove that behavior is a learned response. On the other hand, operant conditioning was first described by B. F. Skinner who conducted an experiment using animals in a skinners box as the example to show that through observation behavior can be reinforced (Smith, Mackie Claypool, 2014). Lastly, classical conditioning focuses on the placement of a neutral signal after a reflex while operant conditi oning focuses of applying punishment or reinforcement after a certain behavior. To summarize, classical and operant conditioning are essential theories of learning as they are acquired from the behavioral psychology and they can fit in different learning conditions as outlined in this paper. Considering that operant conditioning focuses on the positive and negative behavior reinforcement, and classical conditioning focuses on association, I will provide examples of situations where my behavior changed through operant and classical conditioning. In the examples provided my behavior changed positively and others negatively. In my case, there are various situations where classical and operant conditioning applies. To start, there are two situations where I acquired behavior through classical conditioning. In the first example, I saw a person crying due to the pain of an injection and therefore, I also started crying before I was injected. The crying behavior was acquired through classical conditioning. The second example, I was bullied by a student in school and I started hating school. The hating behavior was acquired through classical conditioning. On the other hand, I have changed behavior through operant conditions in various situations. In the first example, I was considered to explain a presentation in the classroom where afterward I was complimented and applauded for good performance. Therefore, I was encouraged to participate in class presentations in the future. The second example, during my holidays I was working in a certain organization. My boss offered me privileges which raised criticism fr om other colleagues. As a consequence, the criticisms motivated the boss to stand in line and be sincere through operant conditioning. To summarize, in my personal life, I have had various situations where my behavior changed through classical and operant conditioning. What was evolved was a system of authorities come closing a dyarchy. During the Kamakura period. Japan had two capitals and two interrelated venue of authorization. The potency of warrior power was clear plenty to those who cared to visualize it. but the bequest of the past prevented more than a slow advancement into the hereafter ( Varley ) . The Kamakura dictatorship was sorely tested when the Mongols attempted twice to suppress Japan with the largest naval armada of all time assembled. On both occasions. the Mongol naval forces was destroyed off the seashore of Kyushu by typhoons. which were calledkamikaze( divine air currents ) . The cost of constructing military munitions in Kyushu contributed to the ruin of the Minamoto kin.
